Invoicer vs Zoho Invoice
Zoho Invoice is a free invoicing tool from Zoho, used around the world. It is polished, it costs nothing, and for many small businesses it is enough.
Invoicer is built for Irish businesses specifically: Irish VAT treatments, direct debit through your own Stripe account, section 71 self-billing and EN 16931 e-invoice files.

Choose Zoho Invoice if
- You want invoicing that costs nothing at all, and your needs are simple.
- You already use other Zoho products and want them joined up.
- You invoice in several countries and currencies.
Choose Invoicer if
- You want Irish VAT handled for you, including reverse charge and exempt lines.
- You want regular customers on SEPA Direct Debit.
- You self-bill contractors or drivers under section 71.
- You want your invoices ready for Ireland's e-invoicing rules.
Zoho Invoice and Invoicer do the same job, so most businesses pick one. Try both: Invoicer's Free plan costs nothing either.
What Invoicer does
- Irish VAT invoices: 23%, 13.5%, 9%, 4.8%, zero-rated, exempt and reverse charge, line by line, with the breakdown by rate
- Card and SEPA Direct Debit payments through your own Stripe account (about €0.35 per direct debit)
- Customer subscriptions that raise an invoice each period and mark it paid when the payment arrives
- Quotes, and a VAT return summary of what you have invoiced
- Section 71 self-billing for businesses that pay contractors or drivers
- An EN 16931 UBL e-invoice file with every invoice, ready for Peppol
- Contracts signed online by both sides
It does not do bookkeeping, bank feeds or payroll. If you need those, use an accounting package alongside it or instead of it.
